This run, is first and foremost, a fund raising effort.

I know that this blog has mostly been me talking about the struggles of training but please remember that at the end of the day, I’m running this half marathon to help raise awareness and money to help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.

More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Every 4 minutes a person is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Every 10 minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer.

That’s nearly 146 people daily. More than six people every hour.

But you can help.  Each donation you make helps accelerate finding a cure for blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

I’m thankful to all of the Superstars who have donated to finding a cure to Leukemia & Lymphoma so far. The goal is to raise $1,500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

As of March 19, we have raised $830 toward cancer research.

Thank you.
